Exhibition and sale will be open from Monday to Friday 10 am to 8 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

 
CONFERENCE SERIES

“Jewish Thinking: Politics, Philosophy and Religion”
Along with the book exhibition a series of conferences is scheduled which will deal with the contribution of Jewish thinking and/or thinkers to the western culture, on the grounds of philosophy, politics and religion. Four conferences will be held throughout the event, from May 16th to 31st.

“Lleida and Judaism”
The conference program will be enriched with one more conference on historical grounds, about the Jewish legacy to the town. It will be held on a date previous to the Fair opening as a way to help divulge the event.
“Gastronomy and History”

The fair will have a gastronomic session that will mainly deal with Shabbat cooking in the Sepharadic tradition and Sepharadic old and new recipes. All this form a historical point of view, with comments on medieval literatura and files from the Inquisition times. 

COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES

Photographic exhibition “Images from Israel”
Accompanying the book exhibition in the Library Hall, there will be a collection of pictures. The activity is open to general public participation and has been announced among all those who have visited Israel encouraging them to take part in it with three pictures of their own. This exhibition of photos intends to show “trip memories” with a diversity of points of view one single image of this sacred land may raise into each viewer.  

Sepharadic music recital
Alter a fortnight centred on the Jewish book and thinking, the music will become the protagonist on the closing ceremony of the Hebrew Book Fair which will be in charge of the group Shirah Jadashah presenting in Lleida their show “For love to Sion I will not keep quiet”.
